As more and more women in Texas and across the U.S. move into higher-level careers they seem to be coming closer to breaking the proverbial glass ceiling. Data from the Digest of Education Statistics show that an equal number of men and women in the U.S. are receiving medical degrees. In 1980 women made up only about a third of those receiving medical degrees.
